Urban Tilth with Theresa Dixon

I had the opportunity to visit Urban Tilth, a non-profit organization in Richmond, California this past September.

Their mission:
“Urban Tilth inspires, hires, and trains local residents to cultivate agriculture, feed our community, and restore relationships to land to build a more sustainable food system, within a just and healthier community.” (https://urbantilth.org/)

Theresa gave me a tour of the farm and told me more about her position at the farm, their community supported agriculture (CSA) programs, gleaning, and partnerships with other local organizations like Girls Garage.
